Cinder, Stars and Glass Slippers - Brittany Fichter

Since the murder of her gifted mother, Elaina has been sheltered on her father’s ship. But when Elaina’s secret is compromised, she must return to land and live under the king’s protection...much to her objection. Ashland's crown prince, Nicholas, has never been without. He is, however, facing a deadly foe who preys on his gifted citizens and a possible civil war. So when he meets Elaina, Nicholas delights in insisting she shares her military expertise gained on her father’s ship. He gets more than he bargains for, though, when he finds that he might have fallen for the one girl who refuses to fall for his charms.

Review

I think everyone knows right now that I'm completely in love with fairytale retellings. This is one unique spin on a beloved classic story. This is an easy read, even paced book with a little action to spice things up. Even though its a little longer than the typical eBooks that are out now a days. Which certainly isn't a bad thing, I can handle a lengthy book no problem. As long as it has the right story attached to it. I think we all at some point wish we could talk to the stars and know what is going on in other parts of the world. Plus who wouldn't want to have a pair of magical glass slippers? The cover is amazing and colorful. I'm a total cover whore and it is what truly drew me into this book.
