Pitch Dark - A.M. Wilson & Alex Grayson

One girl disappeared. After fifteen years, her cold lifeless body was found on the damp forest floor. Not an inch of her was unmarked by the horrors she endured. Alone, malnourished, abused in horrific ways; this was how she died. One girl was found walking the streets, covered in dirt and scars. She had no memory of who she was, where she came from, or what happened to her. Even though the marks on her body attested to years of heinous abuse, her strength shone through at every turn. Revenge and justice were sworn. Years of searching brought up nothing but dead ends. Detective Niko James was too late to save his childhood friend, but he vows not to let down another. The clock is ticking and the trail is pitch dark. *This book contains dark triggers.

I don't even know where to start with this dark, suspenseful and a tad bit creepy read. This is an edge of your seat kind of book, you never know what might happen. The moment you think you have everything figured out.... think again.

This is my first A.M. Wilson novel, my second Alex Grayson. I was a little apprehensive to even read this book. Now before anyone gets in an uproar. I read the first book of Alex Grayson's Jaded Series and didn't care for it.. Honestly, it just wasn't my kind of book. I don't go for those insta love, crazy situation fast novels. Please...don't bite my head off! It just wasn't for me, anyone that does like that series, more power to you.

Now this book. Oh my gosh this book, I can honestly see Grayson's growth with her writing. Which is what I think all readers should be able to see. If a writer can continue to learn and grow as they write then there is something wrong. All people evolve and in this instance it is completely for the better.

I absolutely loved this! I seriously can not complain about one this. This was a very smooth, easy paced read that could easy read in a weekend. It is shown in two points of view, the transition between the two are perfect. It doesn't slow you down as you go at all.

Though I feel I should say if you have a weak stomach or just don't like graphic situations. This might not be the book for you.
