The power of pleasure… Gabriel Miller took everything from me. My family. My innocence. My home. The only thing I have left is the determination to get back what’s mine. He thinks he’s beaten me. He thinks he’s won. What he doesn’t realize is that every pawn has the chance to become a queen. And the game has only just begun
Review
I feel like I say this every time I write a review. But once again, this was a quick read. I had absolutely no trouble getting into this intense story. So much happens in such a little time. But not a single thing was rushed. With only a few weeks left in her month with Gabriel, Avery intends to get back her childhood home. Take care of her father and find out what really happened to her mother. All while trying to hurt the man that ruined her life. Though nothing seems to turn out the way she hopes. I loved this and can't wait until the next book comes out.
**So...you know. After I started this, I figured out that this was a second book in a series and not the first. I still read it and felt that I didn't exactly need to read the first one to know what was going on or any of the history.
***I still haven't read the first book. And probably won't at this point. I'm terrible I know. 6/28/17
