We are getting close for "Back to School" to begin. I'm fine with that! I am ready for fall and the cooler weather. Plus I liked having a little time during the day where it wasn't complete chaos. Or fighting. I will not miss the fighting once school starts. Though this year will be a bit bittersweet. Abel will be starting Kindergarten. He's excited, me not as much as him. I will still have Belle at home but that will only be for a few more years.
On lighter new, I started Riverdale. Why? Why did I wait so long to start this? Oh my gosh is it good. I'm on episode 5 or 6 and cannot stop. It was completely not what I was expecting, but that is a great thing. There is nothing fun in watching something you already know is going to happen. Or that its just like everything else on television. Love it. Though color me surprised when Skeet Ulrich pops on the screen. This is terrible....but I totally thought he had died. One of those tragic 90's actors that let the drugs and alcohol get to him. But I was wrong and so happy about that! I always thought he was a great actor.
Meh... it's 4:04 pm and I'm still working on this even though I started it Thursday morning? LOL. Distracted much!?! The last thing I really wanted to talk about was how I've had to give some not so great reviews this week. On books that I really thought were promising. The synopsis looked really awesome and interesting. But about half way through they really lose their momentum and just start to drag on. Much like I do on here. Though they are books that aren't out until September. I won't be adding them to my review page until its closer to that time. Just because I don't like something, doesn't mean that someone else won't and I don't want to detour someone that might actually like it. Though I refuse to give glowing reviews if I don't feel it deserves it. I have seen quite a few people do that on absolutely terrible ones. Though I will not name the books. I'm just not that type of person. But it does make one think about how many people are out there giving really awesome or really terrible reviews either because they like the author or that they really despise the author. I believe something happened like that not that long ago. But I paid it no mind.
Stayed in my own lane.
*If you like little rants/blogs like this give the little heart a click so that I know to keep doing these. Or if I should just stick to reviews.
